Uganda and Nigeria are facing court proceedings over a Nigerian film that allegedly depicts a rape scene.
The Nigerian Film and Television Authority has charged three people with violating the countrys law against incitement to commit a crime and three others with incitement.
The charges include inciting violence and criminal defamation, according to The Associated Press.
The movie, titled “Nkrumas Rape,” was produced in Uganda and is part of the national film festival.
The film was screened at the film festival in the capital, Kampala, on Sunday.
It was not immediately clear what the charges were related to.
